A recent initiative between the armed forces of Iran and Tanzania exemplifies this commitment, as part of CISM’s ongoing solidarity programs focused on training and expertise exchange among member nations.

From January 13 to 26, 2024, the Tanzanian Armed Forces hosted two experienced Iranian wrestling coaches for an intensive 10-day training course at the Armed Forces Sports Camp. This program, made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Iranian and Tanzanian CISM delegations, aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of Tanzanian military wrestling coaches and athletes.

The training sessions covered essential aspects of wrestling performance, including wrestling-specific strength training, practice and technique review, nutrition and physical readiness, error identification and technique correction, strength and endurance exercises, agility and balance training, aerobic conditioning and recovery, weight training, and water-based training.
