LUCERNE (SUI) - Celine van Till is a fighter - an athlete who pushes boundaries, both in sports and in society. Her journey is marked not only by triumphs but also by setbacks and courageous new beginnings. After a severe riding accident, she fought her way back to life, transitioning from dressage to athletics, then to cycling, and eventually taking on a new challenge: skiing.

Since January 2025, she has been skiing professionally and has already competed in her first races. It’s a new chapter in her career—one that brings her immense joy but also demands discipline and perseverance.

The past few months have been shaped by intense training and countless hours on the slopes. In early January, Celine trained primarily in Andermatt and Engelberg. Every turn, every descent brings her closer to her ultimate goal: competing at the Military World Winter Games. Celine van Till is not someone who lets setbacks stop her. She remains cautious yet determined to push forward and improve. «I love skiing,» she says. And that passion is what drives her.

Between sports and politics – advocating for Parasport

Beyond her athletic career, van Till is a strong advocate for the rights and recognition of para-athletes. As a politician, she fights for greater inclusion in society and represents parasport within the Swiss Army. She is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities are not seen as a marginalized group but rather as individuals with exceptional qualities and remarkable ambition. The integration of para-athletes into the Military World Winter Games is a cause close to her heart.

Celine already has ambitious plans for the year ahead: defending her world championship title in time trial cycling, competing in more ski races next winter, and continuously improving in her new sport.
