CISM Leaders attend the World Nomad Games

ASTANA (KAZ) - In Astana, the delegation of CISM leaders was welcomed by Arman Abeuov, Chairman of the Sports Committee of the Ministry of Defence, along with personnel from the Central Sports Club.

The international delegation includes CISM President Colonel Nilton Rolim from Brazil, CISM Secretary General Roberto Recchia from Italy, and CISM Sports Director Jan Van den Dool from the Netherlands.

The CISM representatives arrived as honorary guests at the 5th World Nomad Games, following an invitation from the Sports Committee of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan.

"In 2025, Astana will host the CISM World Challenge in Qazaq Kuresi (Kazakh wrestling). Inviting our colleagues to the World Nomad Games is one of the key stages of preparation for the competition and for promoting national sports," noted Colonel Arman Abeuov, Chairman of the Sports Committee of the Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan, who also heads the Central Sports Club.

During their visit, the international guests will attend Qazaq Kuresi wrestling competitions at the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace and participate in cultural and scientific events organized at the "Universe of Nomads" ethno-village.
