World Boxing President Mr. Boris van der Vorst visits CISM Headquarters to explore future collaboration

BRUSSELS (BEL) – Today, Ocotber 3, CISM welcomed a distinguished guest, Mr. Boris van der Vorst, President of World Boxing, at its headquarters in Brussels. He was warmly received by CISM Secretary General Navy Captain Roberto Recchia, Sports Director Lieutenant-Colonel Jan Van den Dool, and Media & Communication Director Mr. David Vandenplas.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the potential for future collaboration between CISM and World Boxing.

Central to the discussions was World Boxing's possible support in officiating at CISM boxing events, as well as assistance in organizing future tournaments and championships. Both parties explored ways in which their cooperation could enhance the professionalism and global reach of military sports, particularly boxing, within the CISM framework.

This promising dialogue marks an important step towards a stronger partnership between World Boxing and CISM, reinforcing both organizations’ commitment to promoting fairness, excellence, and sportsmanship in boxing at an international level.
