Visit of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Delegation to CISM Headquarters

BRUSSELS (BEL) – Today, October 15, the CISM Headquarters welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, led by Général de Brigade Richard Boyombo Engeba Mundembe Ade, Chief of Delegation and Board of Directors Member, along with Delegate Lieutenant Shiko Amisa Shiko.

The delegation was received by CISM Secretary General Navy Captain Roberto Recchia and CISM staff members, marking an important moment for bilateral cooperation. The meeting included a comprehensive presentation on CISM activities by the Secretary General, highlighting the organization's ongoing commitment to promoting military sports and fostering international collaboration.

During the discussions, various areas of work within CISM were explored, underscoring the importance of collective efforts in achieving the organization's objectives.

A significant highlight of the visit was the official ceremony in which CISM Secretary General Roberto Recchia awarded Général de Brigade Richard Boyombo Engeba Mundembe Ade the rank of Grand Knight of the CISM Order of Merit, and Lieutenant Shiko Amisa Shiko the rank of Knight of the CISM Order of Merit. This prestigious honor is conferred by the Board of Directors to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service to the ideals and goals of CISM through their actions.

The visit reinforces the strong ties between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and CISM, showcasing a shared dedication to advancing military sports on a global scale.
