Uzbekistan's Ambassador visits CISM Headquarters in Brussels

BRUSSELS (BEL) – CISM was honored to host H.E. Mr. Gayrat Fazilov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the BENELUX countries and Head of Missions to the European Union and NATO, on October 4 at its Headquarters in Brussels. He was joined by Colonel Anvarjon Akbarov, Military Representative of Uzbekistan to NATO.

The visitors were warmly welcomed by CISM Secretary General Navy Captain Roberto Recchia and Academic Director Lieutenant-Commander Florentia Sfakaniou. During their visit, Navy Captain Recchia provided an overview of CISM’s key activities and its mission to promote international friendship and solidarity through military sports.

Uzbekistan, a proud CISM member since 1993, has consistently contributed to fostering military sports cooperation on the global stage. A key focus of this visit was to explore avenues for enhancing Uzbekistan’s contribution to CISM events and discuss potential future collaborations.

The visit reflects CISM’s ongoing commitment to strengthening ties with its member nations and promoting international military cooperation through sports.
