Historic visit of Central Asia Ambassadors to CISM Headquarters in Brussels

 

 

BRUSSELS (BEL) - For the first time in CISM history, an official visit of several Central Asian Ambassadors took place at the CISM Headquarters in Brussels. This landmark event marked a significant step towards strengthening collaboration between CISM and its Member Nations from Central Asia.

 

The delegation included:

 

  • H.E. Mr. Luvsanvandan Bold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia

  • H.E. Mr. Sapar Palvanor, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Head of the Turkmen mission to the EU, NATO, and OPCW;

 

 

  • H.E. Mr. Huseinzoda Muzaffar Mahmurod, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Belgium and Head of Mission of the Republic of Tajikistan to the EU;

  • H.E. Mr. Gayrat Fazilov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the BENELUX countries and Head of Missions to the European Union and NATO;

  • H.E. Mr. Aidit Erkin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belgium and Luxembourg;

  • Rear Admiral Kairgeldy Yesseneyev, Defense Attaché of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representing Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium and Luxembourg, H.E. Margulan Baimukhan.

 

 

The Ambassadors were warmly welcomed by CISM Secretary General, Navy Captain Roberto Recchia, and the CISM Headquarters staff. The visit included a comprehensive presentation by Navy Captain Recchia on CISM's activities, followed by an engaging discussion session. The delegation was given a tour of the office, culminating in a ceremonial signing of the guest book.

 

This historic visit aimed at fostering closer cooperation and increasing the contributions of these nations to CISM’s activities, reaffirming the importance of international military sports diplomacy.
