BRUSSELS (BEL) – CISM is pleased to announce the update of all official documents on the CISM Website related to hosting the CISM International Symposium. This includes the Guidelines, Minimum Requirements, and Application Forms, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date information for prospective host nations. You can find all those documents on the CISM Members' Access.
As part of this initiative, we are also reminding all CISM member nations of the open bid to host the 2027 CISM International Symposium, a prestigious event that fosters dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of military sports, science, and physical education on a global scale.
Held every two years, the CISM International Symposium provides member nations with a platform to showcase their commitment to the intellectual growth and development of military sports science. While preparations are in full swing for the 2025 Symposium in Abu Dhabi, UAE, organized in collaboration with the UAE delegation, the bid for the 2027 Symposium is now officially open.

Interested nations must ensure compliance with the Minimum Requirements for Hosting the CISM International Symposium as outlined in the updated documents.
Application forms are expected to be sent to the CISM Secretary General no later than February 29, 2025.
The host nation will be selected during the 2nd Board of Directors (BoD) meeting of 2025 and officially announced at the 80th CISM General Assembly and Congress in Sri Lanka.
The official handover between the 2025 and 2027 organizers will occur at the closing ceremony of the 2025 Symposium in Abu Dhabi.
