CISM President promoted to the rank of General

PARIS (FRA) - It is with great pleasure and pride that the CISM family learned of the promotion of CISM President Hervé Piccirillo to the rank of Commissioner General on 1 November.

This promotion is in line with the objective of Mrs. Florence Parly, Minister of the French Armed Forces, and the GAR Thierry Burkhard, Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces, to contribute to the development and influence of Military Sport throughout the world.

In addition to this promotion, France also wishes to support CISM by allowing General Hervé Piccirillo to dedicate 100% of his working time to our institution since September 1st. This is the reason why the CISM President is currently travelling to the four continents to support the chief of military delegation and to meet the highest military and civilian leaders.

The whole CISM family would like to congratulate General Hervé Piccirillo on his well-deserved promotion!
