International Military Sports Council (CISM) and Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) sign historic renewal of Memorandum of Understanding
PARIS (FRA) – CISM and the UIPM have officially signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today, marking a significant milestone in the partnership between the two prestigious organizations. The signing ceremony took place in Paris, coinciding with the Women’s Modern Pentathlon final event of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The agreement was signed by CISM President, Colonel Nilton Rolim, and UIPM President, Dr. Klaus Schormann, underscoring their shared commitment to fostering collaboration and promoting excellence in sports. This new MoU is a testament to the growing relationship between CISM and UIPM, and reflects CISM’s strategic vision to develop synergies with all International Federations, reinforcing its prominent position on the global sports stage.
“This partnership with UIPM represents a new chapter in our efforts to promote military sports and strengthen our presence in international competitions,” said Colonel Nilton Rolim, CISM President. “By working together, we aim to create opportunities for athletes to excel and to further the development of sports within our respective communities.”
