“It is a great honor for me to participate in the Moscow International Tournament. This year I feel even more proud for two reasons. First of all, we had the opportunity to see how Military Sport can go ahead safely during the pandemic, reaching the goals of CISM, connecting soldiers together in sports arenas. This event was successful because it launched the cycle of events that were canceled because of the pandemic last year. And we now have an opportunity to witness the rebirth of military sport."
Closing the regional championship, the Head of the Department of Physical Training and Sports of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel Andrey Zykov, congratulated all the winners and participants of the competition:
"Despite all the vagaries of nature, many athletes have managed to achieve magnificent sports performance, show great will, concern and firmness of mind on the way to victory. Thus, you have confirmed that the armies of our countries are served by selfless people who treat military duty with professionalism."
Andrey Viktorovich also thanked all athletes for their participation in the competitions, wished them good health and expressed hope to meet everyone at future competitions.
