PARIS (FRA) – On the second day of medal events at the Paris 2024 Olympics, military athletes from CISM member nations delivered impressive performances across various disciplines.
In the Canoë-kayak Slalom Women's Kayak Single event, Italy's Corporal Stefanie Horn narrowly missed a podium finish, securing 5th place with a total time of 101.43, just 5.35 seconds behind the gold medalist, Australia's Jessica Fox.

The Cycling Mountain Bike Women's Cross-country event saw OR-4 Laura Stigger from Austria achieving a commendable 6th place, finishing the race in 1:30:15, trailing the French gold medalist Pauline Ferrand Prévot by 4:13.
Italian Corporal Arianna Errigo demonstrated her fencing prowess in the Women's Foil Individual, finishing in 5th place, while 1st Private Neisser Loyola from Belgium claimed 8th place in the Men's Épée Individual.

Brazilian Sergeant Willian Chequito de Sousa e Lima captured the silver medal in the Judo Men's -66 kg category after a hard-fought match against Japan's Hifumi Abe.
In the same category, Gusman Kyrgyzbayev from Kazakhstan secured a bronze medal by defeating Serbia's Strahinja Buncic.
In the Women's -52kg Judo event, Brazilian Sergeant Larissa Cincinato Pimenta earned a bronze medal, overcoming Italian Corporal Odette Giuffrida, who finished in 5th place.

In the Swimming Men's 400m Individual Medley, Italian Corporal Alberto Razzetti finished in 5th place with a time of 4:09.38, 6.43 seconds behind the French gold medalist Leon Marchand.
The Shooting 10m Air Pistol Men event saw a strong showing from Italian athletes, with Corporal Federico Nilo Maldini winning the silver medal with a score of 240 points, just 0.9 points shy of Chinese gold medalist Yu Xie. His compatriot, Corporal Paolo Monna, took home the bronze medal with a score of 218.6 points.
