Iranian Delegation to CISM visits CISM Headquarters: a day of collaboration and recognition

BRUSSELS (BEL) - The CISM Headquarters in Brussels hosted on January 9 a distinguished delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by Brigadier-General Jamshid Fooladi, Chief of Delegation of Iran to CISM. The delegation, which included Mr. Reza Jonaydi, Deputy Ambassador of Iran to Belgium, Colonel Mohammad Bagheri, and Major Iraj Gholizadeh, was warmly welcomed by CISM Secretary General Navy Captain Roberto Recchia and his staff.

The visit featured a productive working session aimed at strengthening ties and enhancing collaboration within military sports. During the meeting, both sides delivered presentations. Navy Captain Recchia and his directors introduced CISM's global mission, achievements, and activities, while the Iranian delegation shared an insightful overview of their nation’s contributions to military sports, highlighting ongoing initiatives and future projects.

Following the presentations, the Iranian delegation toured the CISM headquarters, gaining a deeper understanding of the organization’s operations and engaging with various departments.

The visit marked another milestone in the fruitful collaboration between CISM and the Iranian Armed Forces. The discussions and shared commitments during the meeting are expected to pave the way for greater involvement of Iranian military personnel in CISM activities and further the development of military sports worldwide.
