Vice Admiral Loukas Tsarmaklis visits CISM Headquarters in Brussels

BRUSSELS (BEL) – On February 13, CISM had the honor of welcoming to its headquarters in Brussels on Thursday Vice Admiral Loukas Tsarmaklis H.N., the Military Representative of Greece to the EU Military Committee.

Upon his arrival, Vice Admiral Tsarmaklis was warmly received by CISM Secretary General Navy Captain Roberto Recchia and Lieutenant Commander Florentia Sfakianou H.N., Academic Director and Public Affairs Officer. The visit served as an opportunity to consolidate the strong ties between CISM and Greece, a longstanding and active member of the organization.

During the meeting, Vice Admiral Tsarmaklis was presented with an overview of CISM’s mission, history, and activities, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to promoting friendship and solidarity through military sports. Discussions also focused on the role of Greece within CISM and its continued support for the institution.

Greece has been an important contributor to CISM, actively participating in military sports competitions and events while upholding the values of sportsmanship and international cooperation.
