CISM President General Piccirillo visits the OSMA Offices in Abuja

OSMA / CISM Nigerian team in Abuja

ABUJA (NIG) - As part of his trip to Abuja, Nigeria, at the invitation of Major General Maikano Abdullahi, OSMA President and Vice President Africa of the CISM Board of Directors, the CISM President Brigadier General Hervé Piccirillo visited the OSMA offices and the CISM liaison office. On this occasion, he met with the Chief of the Nigerian Delegation to CISM Air Vice Marshal (AWM) P.D. Masiyer, Director of Physical Training and sports (Defence Headquarters) and Major General P.B. FAKROGHA, Commander Defence Headquarters Garrison.

This visit allowed President Piccirillo to notice the perfect organization of the military sport of the Nigerian Armed Forces and its major role in the functioning of the OSMA.

A press conference was also organized in the presence of the OSMA President and the CISM President with the participation of many journalists and the participation of the Defense Attaché of the Republic of Sierra Leone. The CISM President recalled the missions of CISM dedicated to the contribution to peace and security in the world. He insisted on the major role of Africa, OSMA and the Nigerian Armed Forces in the success of the CISM Strategic Plan. The CISM VP Africa recalled the apolitical character of the organization and its universal values.
