TOKYO (FRA) - While our military athletes had been accustomed to numerous titles and high-level performances, the day of 2 August 2021 will not remain in the annals of CISM and its athletes with a small total of two medals (one gold and one silver).

First of all, Chief Field Marshal Jean Quiquampoix, the 2016 World Military Shooting Champion in Doha, Qatar, became the Olympic champion in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Individual Men (Shooting), beating out Cuba's Pupo and China's Li, who won silver and bronze respectively.
