Colonel Rafael Soares Pinheiro da Cunha, former director of the CISM Academy, is the new director of the Brazilian Army Physical Training Research Institute (IPCFEx)

RIO DE JANEIRO (BRA) - On January 18, the handover ceremony of the Army Physical Training Research Institute (IPCFEx) took place at the Brazilian Army Physical Training Center / Fortress of São João (CCFEx/FSJ) facilities.

Colonel Rafael Soares Pinheiro da Cunha, former member of the CISM General Secretariat and former Director of the CISM Academy, took over the position of Director of the IPCFEx from Colonel Art Renato Souza Pinto Soeiro.

Colonel Rafael Pinheiro, who has extensive experience in the field of research, will face great challenges in his new position as Director of a center of excellence in the field of research. This appointment could open up new initiatives in partnership with CISM, mainly in the area of research on operational human performances in the Armed Forces.

CISM wishes all the best to Colonel Rafael Pinheiro in his new mission.
