MOSCOW (RUS) - Strong bouts were performed on the second day at the World Military Boxing Championship in Moscow, Russia.
Private Dzmitry Asanau (Belarus) proved he is among leaders of the 64 kg celebrating unanimous victory over Private Narek Hovhannisyan (Armenia). In the same category, Soldier Mohammad Musatat (Syria) knocked out Lieutenant Kyana Mazera (Congo) in the second round. In a spectacular fight, Private Aitzhan Ashirhan (Kazakhstan) won Lieutenant Aleksei Mazur (Russia) by split decision 3:2.
European champion Soldier Daria Abramova (Russia) won her contest in 57 kg against defending Asian Champion Private Sitora Turdibekova (Uzbekistan).
OR-1 Lorye Ruyer (France) and Soldier Krisandi Rios Ojeda (Venezuela) both won their fights ahead of the final gong and are meeting in the semifinals of the 60 kg category. The weight class favorite Sergent Beatriz Ferreira (Brazil) met with Russia’s Soldier Nune Asatrian. A split decision was overturned in favor of Ferreira after Brazil’s protest. Her next rival is Private Raykhona Kodirova (Uzbekistan).
Private Temirtaz Zhussupov (Kazakhstan) unanimously won Private First Class Busmeo Kwak (South Korea) in 49 kg. Senior Private Abendego Kayloo (Kenya) was stronger than Sepoy Muhammad Saeed (Pakistan) in the same weight.
In 75 kg, Private First Class Jinhun Park (South Korea) stopped CD Aleksandar Nikolic (Serbia) in the first round.
