Board of Directors meeting 2016/1 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The CISM BoD dropped its luggages in the green city of Nairobi for its first institutional meeting of 2016. 
The opening Ceremony was held today in the gardens of the Safari Park Hotel under the presidency of LT GEN J KASAON, VICE CHIEF OF KENYA DEFENCE FORCES. From CISM Side, Colonel Dirk Schwede represented our organization in these official protocol sequences.
After reminding some basic principles of CISM, Colonel Schwede expressed on behalf of the CISM President the CISM gratitude to the Armed Forces of Kenya for hosting the event but above all for their continuous participation in CISM activities with very high level athletes.
In his speech LTGen Kasaon reminded the importance of sport in the civilian society as a factor of unification of people and added the relevance of sport in the armed forces as a factor of physical readiness and mental strengthening of the military community. He added that the CISM Regional Development center located here in Nairobi was an excellent tool to improve the sports management in Africa.
The Opening Ceremony was followed by a group picture and a press conference attended by journalists of national written and television press.
