Meeting between Major-General (Ret) Dr. Gianni Gola, CISM Honorary President, and the Sri Lankan Ambassador in Rome, Mr. Sisira Senavirathne

ROME (ITA) – Yesterday, on April 20, Major-General (Ret) Dr. Gianni Gola, CISM Honorary President, met the Sri Lankan Ambassador in Rome, Mr. Sisira Senavirathne, on the occasion of the visit of the Military Sports Centre "Fiamme Gialle", commanded by General Aniello, successor of Major-General (Ret) Dr. Gianni Gola.

During the visit to the centre which hosts Track & Field athletes from Sri-Lanka under the aegis of the Italian Olympic Committee, Major-General (Ret) Dr. Gianni Gola took the opportunity to introduce CISM to Mr. Sisira Senavirathne and to underline the presence and importance of Sri Lanka as an active CISM Member Nation.

The visit ended with an exchange of gifts between Major-General (Ret) Dr. Gianni Gola and Mr. Sisira Senavirathne.
