TEHERAN (IRI) – Yesterday, in the framework of the fourth day of the 35th WMC Men’s Volleyball in Teheran, South Korea easily defeated Zambia (3-0) is now ranked second together with Pakistan in the Group B. Islamic Republic of Iran won its last game of the round robin phase against Pakistan (3-0). 4 victories in 4 games, it’s an excellent start for the host country who finished at the first place of group A.
In the group B, Democratic People's Republic of Korea had a very difficult game against Venezuela. After losing the first set (23/25), the Democratic People's Republic of Korea had to fight to win the second set (39/37). Venezuela won the third set (16/25) but thanks to an impressive reaction, the Asian team finally won the last two sets (26/24; 19/17). In the last game of the group B, China won against Lebanon (3-0). Thanks to this victory, China can still dream of the first place, currently occupied by Sri Lanka.
