SZOLNOK (HUN) – The competitions went on yesterday despite the windy conditions that forced the cancellation of the accuracy events in the morning. The first final results were known yesterday in formation female and in style female.
In Female Formation, the dual between Russia and France was intense and the teams even needed a tie break jump. At this game, the Russian girls were stronger than the French team and became the new female formation military world champion while Morocco was ranked third.
While she was ranked third before the last jump of the individual style female competition, WO Olga Kravchenko (RUS) achieved an amazing last jump (7,10) to take the first place of the former leader of the competition BRG Léocadie Ollivier de Pury (FRA) who finally took the bronze medal while another Russian LT Elena Tusheva finished on the second step of the podium.
In individual style junior, SLD Mariia Elkina (RUS) easily won the competition and she led the event from the start to the end. The two Chinese CDT Kaixuan Wang (CHN) and CDT Mei Yang (CHN) are respectively ranked second and third.
In Female Team Accuracy, with only 4 jumps left, Russia is the leader of the provisional ranking ahead of Belarus and China. In individual accuracy female, CDT Yue Li (CHN) and LT Evgeniia Furman (RUS) are sharing the leadership with only two jumps left while the same CDT Yue Li is also leading the individual accuracy junior female ranking.
In addition, two CISM World Records were successively broken in the Female Junior Accuracy event by SLD Mariia Elkina (RUS) with 3x0,00 + 0,02 then by CDT Yu Li (CHN) with a amazing performance (4x0,00 + 0,01).
The was no change in the individual accuracy male ranking, as OR-7 Stefan Wiesner (GER) and 1LT Tinabo Gao (CHN) are still leading the competition with 6x 0,00. With this performance, Gao Tinabo already broke the CISM World Record for the individual accuracy junior event, while the two jumpers can still break the former CISM senior World Record (6 x 00+0,02) tomorrow. Indeed, 1LT Tinabo Gao is also the leader of the individual accuracy junior event ahead of CPL Sebastian Graser (AUT) and CDT Zhang Zuolei (CHN). In team accuracy, Slovenia kept its first place while China took the second place of the provisional ranking ahead of the Polish team.
In Formation Male, the Belgian team increased its lead with now a 25 points difference on Qatar. With only one jump left, the first place seems to be promised to the team “Hayabusa”. Switzerland is currently ranked third.
In individual style male, 1LT Libor Jirousek (CZE) confirmed his two first jumps with two new very good performances, allowing him to keep the lead ahead of OR-7 Elischa Weber (GER) and SGT Aleksei Bykov (RUS). In the individual style junior male, 1LT Tinabo Gao also proved that he’s one of the rising stars of the skydiving with a provisional first place ahead of OR-5 Lukas Tschech (GER) and 2LT Shanmao Lu (CHN)
