Rio 2016 Olympic Games - CISM Top Athletes Results - Update 8

RIO DE JANEIRO – One more day and one more gold medal for the CISM Top Athletes competing in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Indeed, in fencing, 1st Lt. Cheremisinov Alexey (RUS) and WO Artur Akhmatkhuzin together with their teammate Safin won the gold medal game of the men’s foil team competition against France (45-41). It means that Aviator Enzo Lefort, from the French “Armée des Champions” won the silver medal with Cadot and le Pechoux!

Also member of this French “Armée des Champions”, Maréchal des Logis Florent Manaudou took a second medal with his second place in the men’s individual 50m freestyle, after his silver medal in the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay.

In weightlifting, NRO Tao Tian (CHN) took the silver medal in the men’s -85kg competition!

Finally, in rowing, the Italian team composed by Fin. Giuseppe Vicino, Fin. Sc. Domenico Montrone, Fin. Matteo Lodo and Castaldo won the bronze medal in the men’s four event.
