Rio 2016 Olympic Games - CISM Top Athletes Results - Update 5
RIO DE JANEIRO – Yesterday, August 9th, at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, France’s “Armée des Champions” won two more medals. The Lt-Col Thibaut Vallette (with his horse Qing du Briot) took the first place of the Eventing Team Jumping Final together with his teammates Nicolas Astier, Karim Laghouag and Mathieu Lemoine. It’s the first gold medal for the “Armée des Champions” at the Rio OG.
In judo, Brigadier (G) Clarisse Agbegnenou (FRA) took the silver medal in the women’s -63 kg competition after losing the final contest against Tina Trstenjak (SLO). Congratulations to France for these wonderful performances.
Aliya Mustafina (RUS), from the CSKA – Central Army Sports Club, won the silver medal in the women’s team final competition in artistic gymnastics.
In shooting, HF Monika Karsch (GER) won the silver medal in the individual women’s 25m pistol. The 33-years old shooter lost 8-6 in final against Anna Korakaki (GRE). She also finished at the 25th place of the 10m air pistol women’s qualifications.
In judo, Car. Sc. Matteo Marconcini took the 4th place of the men’s -81kg competition after losing the bronze medal contest against Toma (UAE).
