2nd WMC Basketball Women is ready to start in Camp Pendleton!
CAMP PENDLETON – The 2nd edition of the Basketball Women’s World Military Championship will start tomorrow, July 25, with the Opening Ceremony and the first games of the tournament. The competition will take place from July 25 to July 29 on Camp Pendleton, the major West Coast base of the United States Marine Corps located on the Southern California coast, in San Diego County. 6 countries will participate in this high-level tournament: USA, Canada, France, Brazil, China and Germany.
All the delegations arrived on the base on July 23 and the first technical meeting took place today at the competition venue Paige Fieldhouse in presence of Maj-Gen Kaiping Ma, member of the CISM BoD and Official CISM Representative for the competition, Steven Dinote, US Chief of Delegation, Major Tom Bellairs, Basketball PCSC and the 6 Chiefs of Mission of the participating countries. The organizers have ensured that the players will be able to enjoy the best possible conditions.
