Athlete of the year Award 2019 - Final List

 

 

DOHA (QAT) - The second step of the election for the Athlete of the Year Award took place during the President of CISM Sports Committee (PCSC) Meeting currently held in Doha, Qatar.

This time, the PCSC had to vote for two additional athletes by gender, to compose a triple list to be presented to the Board of Directors for decision during the BoD Meeting to be held in Brasilia, Brazil, from 11 to 16 March 2020.

The four other military athletes that were chosen to be added on the male list were Corporal Chef Pierre Le Corre (FRA – Triathlon) and CPO Mathias Wesemann (GER- Naval Pentathlon), who are joining Lieutenant Augusto Xavier Guizado Narea (ECU – Aeronautical Pentathlon), elected with the internet voting process!

After decision of the PCSC, Salwa Nasser (BRN - Track & Field) and Private First Class Jolanda Annen (SUI - Triathlon), completed the list of the women’s athletes, joining Sergeant Ellen Braga (BRA – Basketball), winner of the internet voting.
